“DEAL Jumping” and The “Magic Formula” By Clint Maki ~ Fearless Team Leader~
If you are looking for the magic formula to propel to toward success, you probably already have everything you need. Switching companies, compensation plans or products won’t change the most common factor: you.
I see a lot of people who switch jobs, careers and Home base business models or sales companies as often as they change wardrobes. I am fairly certain I know why they do this, but I am never sure why they don’t understand the principle behind why it rarely evolves them into a cash producing superstar. Most of the time, I see these people more frustrated than when they started.
Zig Ziglar once said: “Keep doin’ whatcha been doin’ and you’re gonna keep getting’ what you been getting’ “. That’s a folksy way of saying “Everywhere you go, there you are.”
STOP beating yourself up! HERE is the “Magic Formula” you have been seeking:
1.) Become a student of Personal Development. Sounds boring to some, but if you skip this step, stay home. People in business and people who WANT to be successful will align themselves with thinkers and with skilled personalities. You need to be one step ahead of those you wish to associate with.
Simple: Acquire a MENTOR, read books, attend seminars and listen to audio recordings in your field. Learn. Continue to learn. Someday you will teach. Only fools take advice from losers or want to learn from a fool.
2.) Master the art of Relationships. Build friendships outside the original circle of friends. If you were already as successful as you wanted to be, you most likely, would not be seeking elsewhere. Your current associates are statistically more likely to be exact replicas of the inner person you were trying to re-create. These people in your life are the cause AND the effect of who you have become.
3.) Buy the correct tools that fit YOU. Carpenters use hammers, not rocks tied to sticks. Some tools are free. Good tools cost money. Great tools cost more money, but the most expensive tools are the ones that you won’t use.
3.9) Follow your passion. Do what excites you. Don’t join a company to be on the “Ground Floor” or because of the compensation plan unless their mission and people fit your core values to the point that your very SOUL is stirred. If you truly can’t believe in the essence of that mission and the Leaders, then repeat steps 1 through 3 until you discover your passion.
4.) Do the actual work. Yes, no magic formula is complete without the magic words. Learn what needs to be done (see above) or said, and then do it. Do it poorly and for free until you get better and then it pays. Check your progress with your mentor, study as you work. Apply constant, steady pressure to your labor of love and your results will bear results.
There is your “Magic Formula”. Most likely, you have heard this before. That’s because I totally COPIED it from all of my mentors. Being a good student pays HUGE dividends.

Hey Clint,
This is an excellent post. You are right. The most important piece of the puzzle is you. If you are not strong, confident, and skilled, you will nevr succeed in anything. I has that problem at the beginning, and then I finally said… I must be doing something wrong here, and that’s when it all changed. Great post.

Me and my husband completely enjoyed this article, we are sitting down right now to a cup of tea and talking with the laptop beside us. Just some questions: When did you get into blogging? How much is hosting cost per month? How much are you reeling in per month? How many visitors do you usually get? Have you heard any big success stories with people blogging? Appreciated, we’ll be checking back but you can e-mail us aswell.

Hi Clint,
Loads of valuable advice here. I agree with much of what your teaching. I’m curious who your mentor is and also, may I see your income documentation?
