Social media courtesy, especially for marketers is vital in this new age of Human Relations
Social media is a lot like showing up for a party because you get ONE chance at a good first impression.
How you behave will determine who likes you, who will be influenced by you and ultimately who will do business with you
and who will follow you.
This is the age of PERMISSION MARKETING. You MUST have people’s permission to get thier attention.
Here is a basic list of Do’s and Dont’s:
Don’t
Spam: Just because someone adds you as a friend does not give you the right to spam them.
Posting your link to my page without permission is SPAM.
Tag me in a marketing photo if it is irrelevant to me. It is also SPAM.
Chat spam: Sending out your pitch in an IM format is cheesy SPAM.
Don’t add people to your newsletter automailer without permission. Blatant SPAM.
Invest in some Attraction Marketing materials and systems. It’s easier, more effective and A LOT more profitable.
Stop chasing people with your offering. You look desperate. Get them to follow you and ask you for help.

Absolutely spectacular job! It seems the more people hear about the concept of social media marketing and they think it is just about creating and profile and a fan page then start blasting.
Social media has given us the privilege to connect with more people than ever before in a minimal amount of time. What we must not forget is it is relationships that make business happen. Recommendations, third party endorsements, testimonials, JV partnerships, these are what makes social media such a powerful tool.
Thank you so much for creating the video I am sure it will benefit my audience. I am already a raving fan! With your permission I would love to have the opportunity to feature this video in a upcoming post on my site. No rush, but keep me posted if you can.
Thanks again, and have a wonderful week!

Great post Clint! Thanks!
Some people forget what social media sites are for…… they are for socializing! Not spamming!
Attraction marketing is a lot healthier for business, relationships and peace of mind.

Yes, absolutely, John, Use it as you wish. We need to spread the word so people start to have a better opinion of online marketing and Home based businesses.
I would love to connect sometime. Catch up with me online.

I enjoyed your Video. I teach this everyday to my team so will listen some won’t. I remember when I got started no one liked my spam. I had to learn new ways to attract my Team.

I enjoyed your video, I inform my team of this everyday, as Jaunita said, some will listen others will not. Have found myself deleting several for the lack of respect and continuing to spam.
This is one of the very first things my coach taught me.
You respect your friends, not spam them.
